The Overton South Neighborhood Association (OSNA) is a voluntary association representing the homes between Hulen Street and Granbury Road from I-820 south to where Granbury & Hulen meet.

It doesn’t matter if you rent or you own -- please take a minute to join (or rejoin) to keep OSNA as a strong, unified voice -- keeping our neighborhood a highly desirable place to live.

Here are the benefits of your membership: 

• Receive our quarterly newsletter covering neighborhood issues.

• Attend quarterly general membership meetings at the Southcliff Church.

• Learn about current issues from local speakers and experts.

• Meet our City Council Member who attends & updates us on what is happening with the City of Fort Worth ahead of the general public.

• Say hello to our Neighborhood Police Officer (NPO) and get a firsthand report on our area’s crime and safety.

• Come and meet your neighbors (in person)!

• Volunteer and participate in our neighborhood activities.

OSNA was formed in 2008 in response to gas companies leasing natural gas rights in the neighborhood. A small leadership group was able to negotiate substantial financial benefits with favorable environmental and quality-of-life considerations for our residents. 

Over the years OSNA continued working together focusing on common residential interests. In recent years our OSNA team has remained engaged in community issues beneficial to all. Our efforts have proven successful in that OSNA is generally recognized as one of the most influential neighborhood associations in Fort Worth.

We have successfully done the following:

• Represented our neighborhood to prevent #ZC21-019, a zoning change to install a casino-style (i.e., gambling) poker room in the Hulen Bend shopping area.

• Facilitated the removal of large- and illegally-parked trucks from commercial lots and residential streets.

• Active participation with our Neighborhood Police Officer (NPO) monitoring crime trends keeping our area secure.

• Created a survey to our residents for best-use recommendations for Westhaven Park (where the YMCA used to be located).

• Work with the city's bi-annual, clean-up program at Granbury/Belden/Gorman Rd.

• Placed American flags at the homes in our neighborhood for the 4th of July.

• Worked with the city on zoning change for the duplexes on Inverness and South Dr

• Expressed our views concerning the TxRail station envisioned along Hildring

• Had the city and the railroad mow and maintain the grass along Hildring

• Gave inputs into the QuikTrip station on Granbury Rd

• Removed the stop sign at South Drive and Ledgestone

• Had a new stop sign installed on Wentworth and Ledgestone

Please know that our success is a direct result of the consistent, high-member participation rate and our ability to influence decision makers with a strong collective voice.
